London Student Volunteering Fortnight (LSVF) is coming! KUSU Volunteering has teamed up with other universities across London to put on a fortnight of volunteering taster sessions across the Capital. It’s taking place Saturday 27th October – Friday 9th November 2012. Meet other students, build your skills and discover a whole new side to London while making an invaluable contribution to our community!
KUSU Volunteering will be out and about on campus on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd October 2012 promoting LSVF!
We’ll be at the following places at the following times – come and find out what volunteering taster events are available!
11am – 1:30pm, Monday 22nd October, Roehampton Vale LRC.
2pm – 3:30pm, Monday 22nd October, Pod 3 in the Nightingale Centre.
11:30am – 1:30pm, Tuesday 23rd October, Knights Park reception.
2pm – 3:30pm, Tuesday 23rd October, Penrhyn Road reception.
During London Volunteering Fortnight, there will be events taking place across London. If you fancy venturing out you can get involved in renovating and decorating a school in London, stewarding at the Nike Run to the Beat half marathon, tidying up a community arts centre’s garden, and much more.
If you’d rather stay close to Kingston we’ve got a range of events on campus which include knitting hats for babies in hospital neonatal intensive care units, building a labyrinth for the community to use and a day of environmental volunteering in the form of a Rhododendron clearance in the woodlands at Kingston Hill!
