Your Students’ Union is the largest employer of students in Kingston and is an investor in people. More than 100 members of student staff help us to deliver award winning services and activities that ‘Make life better for Kingston Students’.
The Students’ Union is looking for the best candidates to recruit for various positions across the Union from Retail and Venue staff to roles in Marketing and Admin Support. Student Staff are the face of our Student Union and we are not looking for supermen, but we are looking for recruits that have the qualities to make a good member of student staff. Potential recruits must have the desire to push themselves to their full potential; and the energy and adaptability to enjoy all that a role in the Students’ Union has to offer.
Our recruitment drive commences on 22nd March 2012 with interviews taking place on 25th April and successful candidates will be welcomed to a student induction day during May 2012. This is to ensure that our staff are fully trained and are ready to take over from graduates at the beginning of the new academic year. This means that unfortunately we are unable to accept applications from final year students. The starting point of your training will be an Induction Day, this year being held on 23rd May for all staff.
Any positions that become available outside of the Students’ Union recruitment drive will be advertised on the website, so please check for any vacancies regularly throughout the year.

How do I apply?
Online applications only....everything that you will need to apply for Students' Union jobs can be found on this website. There is information on each department, as well as detailed information about how to complete the application form and Terms & Conditions of Employment.
You will be required to complete a 'Student Staff Application Form' by following the links on the correct page.
Please note that the application form asks you to select your first choice of roles that you wish to apply for. This is the role that you will be put forward for; your other choices will only come into play after the recruit is complete, and will be dependent on the number applications and vacancies in each department.
You are entitled to apply for, and hold, more than one job in the Students’ Union, however your first job must always be your priority and you must not exceed an average of 16 hours per week. It is your responsibility to keep track of the hours you are working.
