Blog one - 17/12/08
This year has already seen so many changes! The AGM saw a proposal for the student union to lobby the university into providing more recycling facilities around all campuses. This motion was passed, and now hopefully soon you should start to see some changes around the university with some shiny new bins! The people and planet society, which myself and Hannah Smith got re-running after all of its members graduated, is now working with me on campaigns around the university, hopefully you should hear and see some of them soon, 'Go Green Week' should be approaching soon! When we get a date you will be informed when it is, and some of the exciting activities we will be running will be advertised around all campuses. Blog two - 24/2/09
Well some of you may have popped along to our green curry in go green week, which we held john galsworthy. If you'd followed the green footprints, you would have had a chat with one of our People and Planet associates, raising awareness of our campaigns that we're working on. Most of you should be aware that it is fair-trade fortnight, and there are quite a few activities going on to encourage awareness of what fair-trade is and how you can get involved. Please come along to the events, most of which you can find on the student union group on facebook or pop into the union itself. I'll be attending some of them so pop over for a chat, or send me an email. For now, Kat :)
