The Afghanistan Society

The aim of our society is to raise awareness about our culture and traditions to our cohorts at university and through them to the wider community. We will celebrate our culture though social events and trips. We also intend to make it a platform to raise our voice at university level to propose constructive changes in the student life as well as academically.

The Ahmadiyya muslim student association is affiliated with the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community . Kingston University Bright Futures Society 

Bright Futures as an organisation works to increase the success rate of students attaining a job straight after graduation. Our aim is to increase employability of Kingston students and graduates in a fun and interactive manner. The society will organise events giving students the opportunity to develop interview skills, increase knowledge of the recruitment process, and most importantly, network with potential employers across the country through the national Bright Futures Organisation.

Kingston University Buddhism Society

Kingston University Buddhism society is a way to get a better understanding of Buddhism and Buddhist teachings. It aims to help apply Buddhist philosophy to everyday life; the society is not just for those who are religious but is aimed to be accessible for anyone who is interested in Buddhism or meditation.  Members will be invited to join in mediations sessions that can help as a tool of relaxation in times of stress, as well as giving members the opportunity to explore London’s Buddhist resources; this could include classes at the London Buddhist Centre or visiting temples. Members will also be able to hear from speakers who will be invited to join in our meetings. Fundamentally the society will offer a well-rounded view of Buddhism as a philosophy and the positive impacts it can have on everyday life.     

First event is on Thursday the 26th of September and will be an Introduction and Q&A session.

Kingston University Challenge Society

We want to get students out of their comfort zone and face challenges they would usually shy away from. As a society, together we will work towards completing mental and fitness challenges such as skydives, mountain climbing and long distance running. Some challenges will be for charity but will ultimately be challenging your grit and determination. We hope to develop the skills to succeed and commitment is key! At the same time we will engage with other societies by doing intersociety events.

Kingston University Chemistry Society

A society for people who have a passion for the chemical sciences and wish to expand their knowledge beyond their syllabus.

Throughout the year the society will provide the opportunity for its members to attend lectures and seminars held by external organisations as well as inviting guest speakers to provide lectures on cutting edge innovations and challenges in the field of chemistry, producing an atmosphere where students can learn, teach and discuss chemistry and related subjects outside of their syllabus.

New improved computer society! We are not the computer geek society but a new computer society with an entirely different committee.
