Community Furniture Project
The Furniture Project is an initiative to recycle and reuse furniture within the community and thereby providing affordable furniture for those families on low incomes. And, yes even students can benefit by this too! Recycling old items in this way can help protect and sustain the environment. Also in future when the existing furniture is no longer usable then the main parts and frameworks can be reused and redesigned into new modern pieces of furniture. Warehouse Volunteers are needed to help with the general running of the project. There are times when you will be expected to work alone and using your own initiative. The role covers the following: maintain an orderly warehouse, completing standard forms, collecting/distributing and storing furniture, interviewing clients and accompanying them around the warehouse.
