 Metropolitan Police Service

The Metropolitan Police Service is famed around the world and has a unique place in the history of policing. It is by far the largest of the police services that operate in greater London. Kingston Borough Police are offering the opportunity to become part of the extended police family by volunteering. The primary aim of the programme is to get local communities more closely involved with their  policing and so improve the service they offer. There are many varied and interesting roles available including: assisting at the front desk of the local police stations, providing administrative support in the Crime Management Unit, Youth Offending Team, Criminal Investigations Department and in ward offices in the borough, helping with the Cadets scheme (young police volunteers aged 14 - 21 years) and training to become a special constable.
