Your 4 Full-Time Officers
Technically, the Students’ Union (KUSU) is an independent charity that is run to represent and support the diverse needs of you, the student body. That makes us sound a lot duller than we actually are. What KUSU actually is, is whatever you want and need it to be.
If you use a bar on campus – that’s KUSU. If you play a sport at University – that’s KUSU. If you get into academic problems and you need someone to support you – that’s KUSU. If you use the on-campus Citizen’s Advice bureau – that’s KUSU.
You want to become part of the volunteering programme? That’s KUSU. You use the shop on campus – that’s KUSU. The Freshers Fayre? KUSU did that. Every society you join, or society event you attend? KUSU made sure that could happen.
Threatened with being thrown out of halls? KUSU can help you with that. You want to eat in a Subway on campus? KUSU makes sure that you can. NUS extra card to help you save money all year? KUSU does that too. Going to the University on your behalf? That’s us. Reading or writing for FRESH magazine? Another KUSU service.
We’re not just about that ugly grey building at Penrhyn Road, we are part of everyone’s day to day life on campus, wherever you study.
We hope that you have a brilliant time at Kingston, and remember KUSU is here to make your life better; how you choose to do that is up to you.

'Sabbs on the Sofa'
We appreciate that our offices down at Penrhyn Road are a pretty big trek from Roehampton Vale and Kingston Hill, and understand that there may be some Knights Park students who don’t have time during office hours to make it over.
But over at KUSU HQ, we’re not afraid of a long distance relationship – we’ll come to you! Just because you’re not based at the same campus we are, we don’t want you thinking we don’t care. We are here to represent you too.
So, over the course of the year, keep an eye out for us and our sofa! We could pop up anywhere, from the Hawker Wing at RV, the Nightingale Centre at KH, the canteen at KP or the John Galsworthy Building at PR.
When you see us, please pop over and have a chat/ moan/rant/gossip aboutEastenders – we’re here to listen!
